World Water Day 2020 Event

Living Environment Magazine to partner with EnvironFocus in promoting World Water Day 2020 in ensuring the consumption of safe drinking water and contribute to meeting the Sustainable Development Goals, from February 24th – March 22nd 2020.

EnvironFocus is starting a drive to provide safe drinking water to school children in Nigeria through the provision of 50 litre capacity instant microbial water filters. 1 (one) Instant microbial water filter will provide safe drinking water for up to 100 children at a time.

By March 22, 2020, contributions and funds raised by organizations (contributors) will be distributed into Instant Microbial Water Filters enough for a minimum of 10 schools in Nigeria.

Organizations will benefit from the following:

From a sustainability context, these contributions would count towards achieving Corporate goals for Social Responsibility and meet Sustainable Development Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, SDG 3: Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. Participating organizations can include these contributions in their sustainability reports under the Global Responsibility Initiative (GRI) Standards guidelines.
A GRI Referenced Sustainability Report that will speak to their positive contribution to addressing the issues (material topics – water and waste). This can be included in their sustainability reports.
Pictures /or videos of schools served to be used for their purpose.  Contributors can also request to be directly connected to schools served.

A showcase of your contribution and impact to EnvironFocus’s large network via its newsletter, social media sites and online magazine. EnvironFocus’s contact list of over 50,000 is made up of organizations and high-ranking individuals interested in Sustainability in the public and private sector in North America, Africa, Asia, UK and Europe. It also includes media houses and social media influencers.
